Virtual Friendraisers
Do you want to tell all your friends about PESS while still maintaining social distancing standards? Now you can help us spread the word about the important work PESS is doing ~virtually~ by hosting a "Friendraiser"! Schedule a Zoom meeting with a PESS Representative and get together an intimate group of your friends to learn all about the crises that face the girls of South Sudan and how you can help -- all with little to no hassle. Some party ideas include "BYOB Happy Hour," "virtual escape rooms," and guided screenings of documentaries relevant to our mission. To learn more, contact us and mention "Friendraiser" in your message.
Night in South Sudan 2019
On September 12, 2019, Project Education South Sudan took over Dagwood Hall at St. John's Cathedral for their third annual Night in South Sudan. The room was packed with one of our largest and most engaged crowds ever! PESS Executive Director, Daniel Majok Gai, made his annual sojourn stateside to give his report on South Sudan operations, as is tradition. The keynote speaker was former director of the Peace Corps Carrie Hessler-Radelet. Carrie spoke about the importance of educating girls as evidenced in her long and storied career. Be sure to keep your ear to the ground to learn about this year's Night in South Sudan, tentatively scheduled for early October 2020.
